An attractive bronze figure of the seated god Indra, recognizable by the characteristic horizontal marking on the forehead indicating a third eye, wears a translucent dhoti and a sash over the legs, elaborate with gem-encrusted bracelets, necklace, earrings, pearls and beaded strings and a distinctive crown. He sits in an elegant maharadjalilasana with his left arm resting on the raised right thigh, his right hand in Vitarka mudra and his right hand supporting his weight behind and probably holding the emblem of Indra, the vajra lightning bolt (which is missing).

Measuring: 20 cm High, intricately modeled, partially hollow and very heavy.

Condition: Missing right hand and probably the pedestal base, attaining smooth patina all around the surface with slight corrosion and aging soil stains. very stable and in good condition (see images for more details).
