A large head of Bodhisattva Gupta period circa: 500-700 A.D

A fine stone head of Bodhisattva. Gupta period ca: 550-700 A.D, from Northern India. With a serene face, bow-shaped mouth and full lips beneath an aquiline nose, arched eyebrows in relief and heavy-lidded eyes, wearing ear jewels, his hair secured with a high turban elaborated with festoon and strings of pearls.

Height: 30 cm (Height with hardwood custom stand is 39 cm)
