A fine and large Gilt enameled bronze Sino-Tibetan seated figure of Amitayus 19th century from Tibet/China. Seated in Vajrasana on a multi petal double lotus base articulated with a beaded edge, his hands held in Dhyana mudra, clad in a dhoti, decorated at ankles, wrists and upper arms with jewelled bangles, layered in necklaces and earrings resting on his shoulders once decorated with precious stones, with a serene and composed expression framed by an ornamented five-pointed diadem crowning his head with a high doom.
Height: 40.5 cm
Condition: Good with traces of gilt lacquer- Surface loses of gilt and enamel, having pigments of gilt and enamel, with minor surface loses because of age. Missing bottom cover. (See images for more details)Â
